Our story · A women-owned café in Goodnight Ranch, South Austin
Two sisters walk into a café. Then they open one.
Pana is run by sisters Salina and Shikha, who wanted a neighborhood spot in 78747 that works for the 6 am coffee run, the 3 pm scoop and the 6 pm pint. So they built one.
How a café forgot to pick just one thing
The plan started as "coffee shop." Then it became "coffee shop… plus ice cream… plus pastries… plus beer." Neither sister could say no to any of them, so here we are: one room that shifts gears from espresso to affogato to a cold draft.
We open at 6 am every day, because this neighborhood has school runs and early commutes. And we stay open until 9 pm on weekdays and 10 pm on weekends, because it also has date nights.
The room is our love letter to warm, slow afternoons: a persimmon ceiling, soft crème walls, teak accents and ash-wood furniture. Basically a sunset you can sit inside.
What we're nerdy about
The coffee
Espresso, drip, cold brew, matcha and chai, dialed in daily. Bad espresso is basically a crime in Austin.
The ice cream
Eight flavors, from Vanilla Bean to Coconut Delight, plus seven toppings. Coffee Crunch is the peacemaker.
The beer
Four rotating drafts, poured in 16 oz. The grown-up dessert.
The room
Persimmon ceiling, crème walls, teak and ash wood. Made for lingering.
